Lampwork Beads

Lamp worked glass beads are one of our favorites at Bead Dreams.  Everywhere we go we look for the extra special glass art beads. People are not aware of all the hard work that goes into each and every one of them.  We carry work from different artists, especially artists from the state of Florida. Lamp worked beads are handcrafted very carefully by melting glass rods with a torch; this creates molten glass that allows the artist to manipulate the glass and create a unique bead.  Since the mixture of glass and fire provides so many choices the beads are made individually allowing them to have unique characteristics. It is up to the artist to mix colors and temperature and all that challenging work makes each bead a small but exquisite work of art.
