Bead Classes

Bead Dreams Class Policies:

To take a class, you must register at 407-251-5050 and pay in advance.  Refunds will only be made with notice at least TWO days prior to the scheduled class.  A minimum of 3 students is required for a scheduled class to be taught.  If less than 3 students sign up for a class, you will be notified at least 24 hours in advand and your class fee can be applied to another class or fully refunded.

Although most of our classes are designed for adult students, we absolutely welcome your children, accompanied by you, to our basic stringing class. For our more advanced classes instructor consent is necessary for students under the age of 16. We are happy to schedule private classes for younger children's and also offer Birthday party classes for both children and adults.

We offer individual instruction at the rate of $25.00 per hour for beading instruction, $30.00 per hour for Art Clay Silver Instruction and Dichroic glass instruction.  These rates apply to all classes scheduled by individuals. 

Here are our monthly class schedules. Our weekdays are open for any type of private class. Just call a week in advance and we will make sure you are able to take the class that YOU want

Please note that our Crimping Clinic is Free and is available at any time. This class will provide you with the basic knowledge of crimping a bracelet and/or necklace by doing so hands on.

	Saturday April 26th, 1-4pm-Basic Peyote Bracelet-Learn the versatile Peyote stitch to be used in many applications.  $35.00
	Sunday April 27th, 1-4pm- Basic Art Clay - Learn the basics of Art Clay Silver pure silver metal clay.  10 grams of clay included in class fee. $50.00

	Saturday, May 3, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  SOLDERED JUMP RINGS  Learn how to make your own jump rings and then solder them with a low temperature solder.  Easy to learn and easy to use when you want to attach a finding or charm with the knowledge that it will not come off your piece.  $35.00
	Sunday, May 4, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Basic Beading This is not just another crimp and go course.  We provide you with a 30 page booklet full of information for the new beader.  We go over all the tools, findings, metal types and much more.  You will not leave disappointed. Material list available  $50.00
	Saturday, May 10, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Byzantine Chain Beautiful and popular style of chain. Learn how to weave your wire into a wonderful piece you can wear.  Discounted sterling silver available to class participants.  $50.00
	Sunday, May 11, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Dichroic Pendants  Learn the basics of Fused Dichroic Glass by making 3 pendants, using a channel technique, drilling a hole and bail. Learn how to kiln fire the glass. All materials included.  Part 2 .  Learn how to use the saw, grinder and drill press to finish off your dichroic piece. $75.00
	Saturday, May 17, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Basic Art Clay Learn the basics of Art Clay Silver pure silver metal clay.  10 grams of clay included in class fee. $50.00 .

Sterling silver wire, a favorite rondelle bead, and a fancy headpin combine to make fabulous rings you'll want to wear everywhere. All skill levels are cheerfully invited   $35.00
	Sunday, May 25, 2008 , 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Basic Polymer Clay.  Learn how to make a basic bead and a basic cane. Bring your own clay or purchase Kato clay here.  $35.00

	Saturday, May 31, 2008 , 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Swarovski Puffed Heart Just in time for summer. Make a beautiful Swarovski Heart to use as a pendant or earrings. $35.00

	Sunday, June 1, 2008 , 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Soldered Framed Glass Pendants/Charms  Talk about a fun class!  Learn how to arrange fun art pictures or memorabilia on glass, and then learn the basics of copper foiling and basic soldering to make your own pendants or charms.  Bring lots of paper, pictures whatever you want to fill your charms with.  Just remember that we are working small, anywhere from ½" to 2" depending on what size you want your  finished piece.  We will be making lots of them.  All tools and soldering material provided.  $50.00

	Saturday, June 21, 2008 , 1:00 to 4:00 PM:  Crochet Bracelet This is a two part class designed to allow you to learn the ins and outs of tubular crochet.  The first part of the class teaches you the basics of bead crochet, the second part you will learn how to finish off your bracelet with cones or beads and a clasp.  Material list available.  $50.00
